Our brand-new waterfront hotel is located across the street from the harbor, which gives you easy access to ferry boats and scenic cruises that allow you to see some of the best sights in the area, including Casco Bay Islands. There are numerous other waterfront areas for you to visit around town, most of which are within walking distance or a short drive, such as the Eastern Promenade and Portland Head Light.
Casco Bay Islands
Spend a lovely day on the water exploring the islands of Casco Bay. The ferry for scenic cruises to the various islands along the bay is just a six-minute walk from our hotel (0.3 mile away). Hop on the ferry, which operates year-round, and travel to one or all of the six unique islands: Peaks Island, Little Diamond Island, Great Diamond Island, Long Island, Chebeague Island and Cliff Island. During warmer months, you can take narrated trips to Bailey Island.
The Eastern Promenade
Enjoy a scenic walk along the water at the Eastern Promenade, just 1.4 miles from our hotel. The historic Eastern Promenade is a public park and recreation area comprised of 68.2 acres, which includes walking paths, a boat landing, gazebo, playground, ball field, and large area for summer concerts. There’s something for everyone at this lovely area in Portland.
Portland Head Light
Take a short, 15-minute drive from our new hotel to Portland Head Light for some of the best views in the city. Located on the scenic coastline of Fort Williams Park on Cape Elizabeth, this historic lighthouse has been in operation since 1791 and now houses an award-winning navigation museum and gift shop with lovely Maine-related merchandise. Explore the rocky shores surrounding the lighthouse or make the trek all the way to the top – the view is sure to be stunning no matter where you are.
